Thank you for your help towards planning a new 1.65-acre park in the Bridle Trails neighborhood! The new park will be located at 4432 140th Avenue NE. When constructed, the preferred Park Plan will feature a combination of passive and active use elements. The eastern edge of the property abuts a five-acre Bellevue Utility-owned site which is a protected wetland. The remaining park will offer visitors a variety of recreation opportunities, including play areas for differing ages, an “adventure” play area, a picnic shelter, benches and picnic tables. Both hard and soft-surface paths are incorporated into the design, which includes a loop trail surrounding a large maintained grass area. The trail hugs the wetland buffer which will be restored with native plantings. A 12-stall parking lot is included, as no on-street parking is available nearby.
Current Status
The park project is in the engineering and permitting phase, and our architectural and engineering team is working on construction documents. Construction is expected to begin in 2023.

Park Property Acquisition
The Parks & Community Services Department acquired a parcel for park development at 4432 140th Avenue NE in 2014. Parks staff and the Bridle Trails Community Club's Park Committee worked together to locate and acquire a property within the Bridle Trails subarea that would best serve the community. The site is conveniently located along 140th Avenue NE just south of the Bellevue Golf Course and abuts a six-acre city utility site to the east.
The Bridle Trails Community Club has additional information. If you would like a response to specific questions, contact Scott VanderHyden (contact information in the right column of this page).
Bellevue welcomes your input about this project at any time.
