    COVID-19 information:

    In line with City Hall’s limited reopening to in-person services starting July 6, Utilities will offer in-person support between 9 a.m. and noon for the following services:

    All other services will continue to be provided via phone, email or appointment. We will update information about in-person service as availability changes.

    To protect staff and public health, state and federal health agencies recommend flushing the plumbing system in buildings where there has been lower than normal water use before reopening. The Center for Disease Control and the Washington State Department of Health provide clear guidelines to perform proper water system flushing and cleaning to minimize the risk of bacterial growth. Contact Bellevue Utilities’ Water Quality Office at 425-452-7840 or waterquality@bellevuewa.gov for help interpreting the guidelines. Staff are available 24/7 to help with water quality concerns.

    We know COVID-19 has brought financial impact to some of our customers. Utilities will work with customers having difficulty paying their utility bill to set up payment plans or access available emergency financial assistance.

    As of October 1, 2021, the Governor’s moratorium on water shut-offs for nonpayment has ended. However, Utilities will continue to suspend water shut-offs and late fees through the end of the year to allow customers additional time to pay balances and/or set up payment plans.

    Some customer may qualify for help under the Utilities Emergency Assistance Program. This program can provide one-time support of up to 4 months of basic utility service costs for qualified low-income customers who have faced a financial shock, such as a job or income loss caused by COVID.
