    Bellevue Communications Support

Bellevue Communications Support provides auxiliary services to Bellevue and agencies served by NORCOM, the Eastside’s emergency dispatch service, during emergencies. This group of volunteers are amateur radio operators in the Bellevue area, meeting monthly for drills and training. New members are welcomed. BCS has an important role in Bellevue’s Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan.

    Community Emergency Response Team

Through Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training and CERT Lite training over the past several years, the city has helped residents learn basic disaster response skills such as light search and rescue, fire safety and neighborhood medical operations. In a widespread disaster, when police officers and firefighters will be flooded with requests for services, these volunteers are equipped to help.

While the city is not providing any CERT training at this time, alumni of the local training have created a website to stay connected. If you have completed the CERT Basic class and you live or work in Bellevue, Clyde Hill, Medina, Beaux Arts, Newcastle, Yarrow Point or Hunts Point, you are invited to check out BellevueCert.org
