    North Bellevue Community Center offers a comprehensive array of senior services and programs including health and wellness, cultural and performing arts, human services, drop-in activities, socialization, information and referrals, community dining and trips.

    The Center works in conjunction with senior members of the community to maintain their independence, health, and sense of well-being by providing support, referrals, activities, and learning opportunities. Additionally, there are a multitude of services offered for youth and adults of all ages, offered on evenings and weekends. 

     

    SilverSneakers Classic - SilverSneakers Classic allows students to move through exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion and activities for daily living. SilverSneakers Classic  is an exercise class which combines cardio and strength to improve cardio-respiratory fitness for the students. Students also focus on improving reaction training and coordination.  

    • Fee: 
      • Drop-in: $6/resident and $7/non-resident
      • Monthly: Depending on the number of classes in a month

    SilverSneakers Yoga *NEW* - Move through seated and standing yoga poses designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Finish with restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation to promote reduced stress and mental clarity.

    Board Games - Board games and group games teach critical thinking, strategic skills, offer social opportunities for participants, keep minds sharp and are just plain fun! Join us at the North Bellevue Community Center every Wednesday for a fun afternoon playing a variety of games, from board, oversized, to group games. This program is open to all ages and game experience. Bring your family, friends and neighbors or come to meet fellow board game enthusiasts. . Pre-registration is required.

    Coffee & Coloring - Join us every Friday at the North Bellevue Community Center for a relaxing morning of coloring pictures, drinking coffee and socializing. We will provide coloring pages from books that are designed especially for adults as well as colored pencils, crayons and markers will be provided. Coffee, water, and tea will also be provided. Feel free to bring your own favorite coloring and supplies as well. Don't like to color? That's okay! Have a cup of coffee, chat a little and enjoy a stress free time. Pre-registration is required.

    iPhone and/or iPad Workshop (March 2- 30)

    iPhone and/or iPad Workshop--Review basics of iOS for iPhones and iPads.  How do I share photos via text or email?  Which app do I use to compose a letter?  Can I use the Maps app to get to my appointment?  How do I use my iPhone or iPad as a magnifier?  Which tips and tricks will save me time and make it easier to use my iPhone or iPad?  Where can I get free help?  Join us for this workshop where you can ask questions and learn from other attendees with similar challenges.  Please update your iPhone and/or iPad and have your passwords available.

Where can I get help? Join us for this workshop where you can ask questions and learn from other attendees with similar challenges.     Singing Class with Chinese Information Service Center

    Tai Chi Class with Chinese Information Service Center

SHIBA advisors are available to talk to folks by phone or video chat.     English for Work - This free online course is designed to help immigrants and refugees who speak some English to improve their language skills while they prepare for work. Students develop their speaking, listening, reading, writing and technology skills; receive one-on-one advising; and participate in remote mock interviews conducted by local employers. Every quarter, many students find jobs. In addition, Hopelink volunteers often help to connect students with employers. See more information here.
