    Nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood with a great view of the Cascade Mountains, the Northwest Arts Center (NWAC) hosts many City of Bellevue programs and offers rental spaces. Please call to set up an appointment to view our facility.  

    Information about NWAC's programs. 

    Our rooms can accommodate social gatherings such as:

    • Rehearsals
    • Classes
    • Birthday parties and baby showers
    • Fitness classes
    • Business meetings and retreats
    • Wedding and anniversary receptions

    Renter's Guidelines and Responsibility:

    Rental reservations must be made by a person 21 years of age or older.

    Requesting availability does not guarantee a reservation; confirmation will be sent when NWAC staff receive your application forms and payment.

    Northwest Arts Center Rental Spaces:

    Studio B: Multi-Purpose Room - Capacity 40

    This medium-sized classroom includes a pull-down projection screen, long countertop, sink, large white board, folding tables and chairs. Renters can enjoy a view of the community center's grounds and mountains on the horizon.
    • Size: 735 sq. ft.
    • Rental minimum: Two hours.
    • Rental fee: $40 per hour. Set-up and clean-up must be included in rental time.
    • Facility staff fee: $25 per hour (required).
    • Other fees may apply.
    • Non-profits: 30% discount on room rental rates with proof of non-profit status.

    Studio C: Meeting Room with Kitchenette - Capacity 12

    This small room includes an oven range, refrigerator, microwave, sink, dishwasher, folding tables and chair.  
    • Rental minimum: Two hours.
    • Rental fee: $40 per hour. Set-up and clean-up must be included in rental time. When renting with Studio D or C, package rate available.
    • Facility staff fee: $25 per hour (required).
    • Other fees may apply.
    • Non-profits: 30% discount on room rental rates with proof of non-profit status.

    Studio D: Dance Studio/Event Space - Capacity 100

    This large room has a sound system, cathedral ceiling, full-size mirrors, ballet barres, beautiful wood floors and natural light.
    • Size: 1,950 sq. ft.
    • Rental minimum: Two hours.
    • Rental fee: $60 per hour. Set-up and clean-up must be included in rental time.
    • Facility staff fee: $25 per hour (required).
    • Other fees may apply.
    • Non-profits: 30% discount on room rental rates with proof of non-profit status.


     

    COVID-19 Information

    Rentals groups reserve only the spaces listed on their rental permit.  Common areas are not to be used for gathering areas, storage of equipment. 

    Facility is regularly sanitized during the day and nightly.

    Sanitizing stations are available in common areas as well as hand washing in some rooms and in restroom facilities.

    All rental groups will comply with all applicable COVID-19 safety requirements and guidelines as issued by the Governor’s office, Department of Health, or other state or local authority. Comply with all applicable COVID-19 safety requirements and guidelines identified by the City.

    How far in advance can I reserve space?
    Bellevue residents - 12 months in advance.
    Non-residents - 11 months in advance.

    Is the Facility Staff fee required for all rentals?
    Facility Staff fees are required for all rentals that take place when the NWAC office is closed.

    What if I need to cancel or change my reservation?
    See the Facility Rental Guidelines for the City's cancellation policies. The refund policy is determined by the date we receive written confirmation of a date change or a cancellation.

    Alcohol:
    Only beer, hard cider, wine and champagne are allowed. Permits and a permitted server over age 21 are required.

    Catering:
    Drop-off catering (catering staff does not stay at NWAC during event) does not require a permit and fee. On-site catering requires permits and fees.

    Decorations:
    No helium balloons are allowed inside NWAC. Helium bouquets can be placed outside near the entrance doors or attached to the NWAC sign. Renters must use blue painter's tape only.

    Facility/Parking Information:

    • Northwest Arts Center is a City of Bellevue community center.
    • NWAC is an ADA-compliant facility.
    • The center has 32 public and 2 accessible parking spaces.
    • There's a convenient drop-off/loading zone next to the facility.
    • The picnic area with four picnic tables can be reserved only with an indoor studio room rental.
    • BBQ grills are NOT allowed at NWAC.

    Set-up and Clean-up:
    Renters are responsible for all set-up and clean-up. Both should take place during the scheduled rental time.

    Weekly Rentals:
    Requests for ongoing weekly rentals are accepted at NWAC. Two-hour rentals during the same day/time each week are required. Review the Facility Rental Guidelines or call NWAC for payment plan and reservation policies.

    Ready to Request a Rental Date?
    To reserve your rental, complete and email the following required documents to NWAC@bellevuewa.gov or mail them to:

    1. Facility Use Request Form - this is your date/time request. Be sure to sign it!
    2. NWAC Supplemental Form - request for tables, chairs and sound equipment.
    3. Payment in full is due 30 days prior to your event. We accept checks or credit cards.

    You may also need to submit:

    • Indoor Facility Special Use Form - if applicable to your event. See the Alcohol and Special Use Permits & Fees section below.
    • Your nonprofit organization's copy of the IRS letter with proof of 501(c)(3) status - non-profits only. 
    • Monthly Rental Date Request Form - for ongoing monthly rentals only

    Alcohol and Special Use Permits

    Alcohol Permits:
    These permits are required and must be provided to NWAC 21 days prior to your rental date:

    • Washington State Liquor & Cannabis Board (WSLCB) - Banquet Permit or Special Occasion License
    • Alcohol Server's Class 12 Mixologist Permit

    On-site Catering, Inflatables, Special Equipment, Entertainment Vendors:
    The information below is required and must be provided to NWAC 21 days prior to your rental date:

    • Indoor Facility Special Use Form and applicable fee (renter's responsibility)
    • City of Bellevue Business License (vendor's responsibility)
    • Certificate of Insurance (vendor's responsibility)
